Seminar: Aviation Management Systems for Business Efficiency

European air operators and training organisations are required to demonstrate to their competent authority that they have documented and implemented a ‘management system’. This requirement is frequently seen as an inconvenience to be met with a bolt-on solution, and perhaps even more often simply not understood. This seminar explores and explains the EASA requirements for management systems and demonstrates how a properly functioning and compliant management system can be highly beneficial to the efficiency of the business as a whole.

After attending this course you will be equipped to initiate a project to implement an integrated management system that will satisfy the regulations and help you meet your business objectives.

Who should attend?

The seminar will be of interest to air operator executives and senior management, including accountable managers and ‘nominated persons’.


Regulatory requirements :

The language and structure of EASA regulations can be difficult to interpret and we will start by simplifying and clarifying precisely what is required in terms of a management system.

Application and implementation:

Based on a notional case study we will walk through the process for integrating the management system requirements into existing business activities.

Business integration:

Having met the regulatory requirements by implementing the management system in the operational business functions, we extrapolate the case study to look at the benefits of integrating the same concepts across the business to capitalise on commonality and efficiency.

Measurement and monitoring:

finally having taken the leap to adopt the concepts and processes of a management system we will discuss how best to monitor and measure business performance to determine what efficiency benefits have been delivered and to develop improvements where necessary.



The seminar runs for approximately 6 hours including coffee breaks and a lunch break.


As the client you may choose to attend the McKechnie training facility in West Sussex or we can deliver the training at your own headquarters or training location.
