Aircraft operators are required by regulation to implement a compliance monitoring programme as part of their management system. This applies to commercial air transport operators (CAT) and also to non-commercial operators of complex motor-powered aircraft (NCC) and specialised operators (SPO), also known as aerial work operators. Having a compliance monitoring (internal audit) system is also a great way to check the performance of your organisation against policies and procedures as well as external regulations.
After attending this course you will understand the purpose of internal audits and will be able conduct departmental quality checks and assist with internal audits under the supervision of a ‘lead auditor’. Delegates will also be well equipped to deal with internal and external audits as auditee.
Who should attend?
The seminar is aimed at personnel from Airlines and other aircraft operators who will be involved in internal compliance monitoring as either auditor or auditee.
The content of the training can be tailored to suit your particular needs but would typically include:
- Purpose of compliance monitoring, compliance monitoring and quality systems;
- Principles of auditing, inspections and audits;
- Audit preparation;
- Carrying out the audit: interviewing and evidence gathering;
- Identifying discrepancies and non-compliances;
- Root Cause Analysis;
- Corrective Action Plans.
The course involves a lot of interactive, practical exercises and is most effective when delivered to a group of 10-20 trainees.
The course runs over two days with a duration of approximately 6 hours each day including coffee breaks and a lunch break.
