Flight Operations Auditors (expressions of interest)
The demand for our services to national aviation authorities is outstripping the availability of our experts so we need a few more good people with specific expertise in Flight Operations. We are particularly keen to hear from people with regulatory experience, i.e. people who have worked within a national aviation authority in a technical inspecting position.
The successful applicant will work with us to assist national aviation authorities (NAAs) by
- drafting and updating regulations;
- developing NAA procedures;
- providing training to NAA personnel and
- conducting audits and inspections for certification and oversight of operators and training organisations.
The role will be based at our pleasant offices in West Sussex, but will involve extensive international travel.
For this position we specifically need applicants who have worked within a national aviation authority in a technical inspecting position. Applicants must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom. Your skills and attitude will be more important than formal qualifications and previous positions held but a strong applicant will be able to demonstrate all of the following:
- Excellent knowledge of European Regulations and ICAO Standards for Flight Operations and Pilot Training;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Tact, diplomacy and cultural awareness;
- An understanding of our customers’ business environment;
- A full driving license.
Additional attributes that would be useful in the role would be a recognised auditor qualification, experience as a trainer, expertise with standard office software (word, PowerPoint, excel) and a strong educational background.
We are a small team so it’s important that we will enjoy working with the successful applicant. This is a full-time office based position. We do not anticipate that the terms and conditions would be attractive to active pilots.
If you are interested in working for McKechnie Aviation Limited, then please send a CV and a short letter (about 500 words) explaining why to firstname.lastname@example.org. The CV should include your educational and professional qualifications, the jobs you’ve done and your key achievements in your most recent positions. All applications will be treated in strict confidence and referees will not be contacted without your express permission.
If you do not hold a European passport then please explain in your covering letter how you have the right to live and work in the UK. We will not reply to applicants who do not send a covering letter.
